How long is the training for individuals who are already certified peace officers in Georgia? Print

New hires with a Georgia P.O.S.T. Peace Officer certification must complete the department's Recruit Academy (agency training) and the Field Training Program. The Recruit Academy is a three-week course, and the Field Training Program lasts approximately four weeks.

Note: There might be some instances where more training could be required.
