In the Patrol Division, Police Officers work all three shifts on a four-month rotating basis. It is based on a 4/2, 4/3, 4/3 working schedule. For example, a Police Officer will work four consecutive days and then be off for two consecutive days. Since this is a rotating schedule, the next set of working days will involve the officer working 4 consecutive days followed by three days off. In essence, this pattern is repeated in a clockwise rotation after each set of off days are completed.
