In the Patrol Division, Police Officers are assigned to day or evening watch and work twelve hour shifts. Working shifts are based on the Panama Schedule. For example, a Police Officer will work twelve hour shifts based on the following rotation: 2 days on, 2 days off | 3 days on, 2 days off | 2 days on, and 3 days off. In essence, this rotation allows officers significant time off and enjoy every other weekend off.
